
In 1999, Sotiris Georgantopoulos relocated from Greece to the United Kingdom to study at the Department of Applied Sciences, Northumbria University.

Following the completion of his PhD, Sotiris was awarded a fellowship at the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, to investigate the role of reactive oxygen species in cancer.
This position allowed Sotiris to further improve his research skills in one of the top universities worldwide.
